FAQs
Do you take insurance?
Similar to many other Bay Area psychotherapists, I do not take insurance. However, if you have out-of-network benefits I can provide you with a statement (sometimes called a “superbill”) that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Reimbursement rates vary and will depend on your particular plan and insurance company. If you have questions about this you can call your insurance company directly to find out if you have out-of-network benefits and if so, what your exact benefits are. In addition, psychotherapy expenses are often covered by Health Spending Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA).
What do you charge for psychotherapy sessions?
Since my fees change periodically, please inquire by contacting me directly. My fees are commensurate with other Clinical Psychologists in the Bay Area who have a comparable level of experience and expertise.
How long are psychotherapy sessions?
Sessions for both individuals and couples are typically 50 minutes. In some cases, 75 minute sessions may be arranged if scheduling permits.
How often do you meet with clients?
In general I meet with clients a minimum of once a week. In many cases it is beneficial to meet more frequently than once a week. Frequency of meetings will be discussed and mutually agreed upon during the initial consultation period.
